The Battle Of The Phones
This is certainly something that a lot of people who have been fans of the landline actually go on about a lot of the time. Has the mobile phone done that much to help us at all or has it simply made us rely on technology when we shouls be relying on ourselves?
Many people are relying on mobiles
People have always relied on their mobile phones since the invention of the brick itself. The newer smart phones are slowly taking over the minds of the richer people of the world as you can do everything from blasting off e-mails to checking your bank details and doing your weekly grocery shopping. People do not actually need to leave their houses now that these phones are on the market.
There are several problems with this and the main one seems to be that what happens if the phone goes missing or is stolen? You are stuffed, in simple terms. There will be a lot of trouble if someone gets hold of the phone as you are going to have stored a lot of information on the phone. Too much in fact which is why criminals will always target an iPhone over a couple of older looking bricks.
Putting a password on your phone doesnt just keep the nosey wife out but will help you in other ways too. If you keep your bank details on the phone you could encounter some serious problems if you do not have a password on the phone itself. The criminal will always know the place to look.
In the second part of this argument I will talk more about the landlines and why using things like 0800 numbers, fax to email and premium rate phone numbers they have revolutionised the way that we do things.
So there you have it.
